Savannah is a 5yo, 14.2 hand, mustang mare. She is full blooded mustang, but was born in captivity and was imprinted at birth, so she’s VERY friendly. The best that I can do to describe her color is to say that she’s a buckskin with some roaning and appy characteristics and with some grulla and primitive markings as well. She was started under saddle this winter, and is coming along nicely in her training. She will make an amazing dressage pony, as she has a springy and floaty quality to her trot that will shine in the show ring. She looks like an Andalusian when she moves! Although she’s pony sized, she is not appropriate for a kid yet, as she is still a young, green horse and she has some spunk and “pep in her step.” She’d be great for an adult rider wanting a smaller mount for dressage or eventing type pursuits. She’s been lightly jumped and hasn’t refused a thing, but I’ve been focusing mostly on developing her flatwork. She has been hauled around to new places and shows, and she jumps right in the trailer. She clips, ties, bathes, stands for trims (goes barefoot), loves grooming, longes and ground drives, and is used to wearing a western or english saddle. And there’s no running after her to catch her in the paddock--she catches you! Overall, she’s a super-cute little mare who is sound and sane, was started the right way, and is ready to pursue a career with a new owner. She’ll be in professional training until sold, and her price may increase with as her training progresses.
